MARTIN WMALocated in Jackson County near Scottsboro. 22,842 acres; big game and small game.PERMITS: Season permits may be obtained by writing Area Biologist Jim Schrenkel, 311 Sleepy Lane, Woodville, AL 35776; phone (256) 587-6474 (enclose self-addressed stamped envelope and current hunting license number) or locally from Kirk’s Chevron, Hwy. 72, Hollywood, AL; Woodall’s Grocery, Hytop Community, Hwy. 79; Cross-Road Grocery, Hytop Community, Hwy. 79; J.C.’s Gun and Tackle, University Drive NW, Huntsville; Wiley’s Outdoors, Sportsman’s Dr., Huntsville; and C.A. Wilson’s Grocery, Fackler, AL. Gun deer and primitive weapons permits will be issued for each hunt from checking stations located at Jackson Co. Rd. 55 one and one-half miles north of Co. Rd. 42, and at the intersection of Hwy. 146 and 79 near Woodall’s Grocery. Trapping Permits must be obtained from Area Biologist Jim Schrenkel. All deer killed shall be reported to the administrator of the hunt. Checking stations will be open from 5:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. on dates of gun deer primitive weapons hunts
